One of the problems with having had the same alarm clock for a ridiculously long time (I don't even remember when I got it, but I'm thinking around 6 years old) is that I can turn it off in my sleep and have no recollection of doing so afterwards. That hasn't happened in a really long time but it happened this morning. I guess that's what I get for

I start to sleep through my alarm after I've had it for a while. I had to buy an alarm with a CD player that I can change the Cd when I sleep through it. It's pretty bad - I will even sleep through the annoying default beep after a while. I have major problems with waking up, always have!
