Thank yooooou! When all else fails I try to keep things as loose and undefined as possible -- like, he'll be walking her down the aisle and there's a certain sense of responsibility he feels towards her, but he's never been anything like a father figure to her. They just have kind of a weird, awkward friendship that really means a lot to both of them, and I hope that making a point of not nailing it down makes it feel more real, because that's how relationships actually are in life.
