this is why i so love this series. it's not just the excellent writing or the wonderful plot but it's all of these amazing moments that you've strung together that are just beautiful beyond words.

i cannot wait for you to finish, though i'll be sad when you do. :D

Oh, thank you! I was actually starting to wonder if there wasn't enough happening in the last two "future" chapters, due to the fact that we're now dealing with members of the study group who haven't disappeared from Annie's life and so don't have any kind of big reunion or drastic reaction to the news of her engagement with Jeff. I'm happy you're still liking it.

In some way, I actually like the last few chapters better than the first half precisely because they're nearer to J and A. Abed and Annie's Chandler and Phoebe hood was there for us to enjoy, plus, we got the Jeff proxy thing. With Troy, we get the rich history he has with A and how much they've grown. It's like that awesome scene in mixology.

Anyway, I'm rambling now. Haha. Anyway, <3 for all.

I could picture every single thing that happened in this chapter. It is incredible.

'You're one lucky asshole'
PERFECT LINE IS PERFECT.

Hahaha, thank you so much! Originally I was gonna have him say "bastard," but then I was like, "this is fanfic, not the actual show. He'd mean 'asshole' so he'd say 'asshole.'"

you have me torn since the previous chapter. i've never really got into the troy/annie thing, but you made it so realistic and expected that there SHOULD be an unrequited love somewhere in a couple's happiness but it doesn't have to necessarily lead to alienation and isolation.

GAH love Troy.

I'm not at all into the Troy/Annie thing either, except for the rich possibilities I see between them in the matters of friendship, so I get your misgivings. But a good Jeff/Annie relationship can't exist in a vacuum. I think to let their respective histories with other characters go unaddressed would be the emotional equivalent of just putting those other characters on a bus. As I've said before: immensely unsatisfying. It's so wonderful that you appreciated the way I tried to bring it to light, thank you so much for saying so!

Poor Troy. Getting dragged to a fitting. I love that he's been waiting years for wedding cake. Ahahaha.

You write Troy/Annie in a way that is immensely satisfying. There's a sweetness to them that I don't think is possible with other pairings on the show because of their shared history.

Annie claps her hands softly and smiles. "That's your LeVar Burton face! Do I look that good?"

Annie got Levar Burton face! Such a great moment. As much as I was expecting Troy to be floored, I still felt the impact. Very nice.

Troy sighs, resigned. "Fine. I told him. I felt weird about it! I figured he'd find out eventually and I really, really didn't want to end up getting punched in the face. Someone always seems to get punched in the face," he pleads. This was such a Troy line for me. I could picture the look on his face as he was saying it ( ... )

Lovin' the two sides of the coin in this work. Long time reader, first time caller. Keep it up, love it.

Also, epic discontent picture. Annie's got a gun, never gets old.

Thank you! I know I've slowed down again but I've been working a lot. I'm hoping to have the next installment up soon.

Isn't the mood theme awesome? I had never even used the "moods" option until I found this theme and was like "well, can't waste this magic."
