I love that you focused this around her 21st birthday because so much of Annie's story is as much about her growing up as relaxing into herself and and you've captured that perfectly. The parts with Jeff are great because he's not central to it but he's a constant presence in her life. It would be so easy to just show him making a move on her now that she's 21 but I much more prefer this subtle way you've written it where he's in character and he still has other stuff going on but clearly a part of him is drawn to her.

I have to admit though that my favorite, favorite parts are with Troy and Abed and the relationship she has with them. I love that they're protective and they want to spend time with her and they take her out on her birthday and cuddle while watching movies. That's so adorable and I HOPE the show spends more time on these three.

In conclusion, this is wonderful.

See, if I learned one thing thing throughout college, it's that living with someone you already know is going to change your relationship in a fundamental way. Sometimes it's a negative thing and you end up not speaking to the person again, and sometimes it's positive and you end up madly in love with someone you used to barely even like. It's a truth you obviously get, since you're showing it so well in your multi-chap as Jeff and Annie slip into this little world of their own without even realizing it, like I said in my last review. And I hope hope hope that the positive spin is what it'll be like for these three people that make a really odd triangle with ever-evolving relationships to each other, so that's how I wrote it.

...Now that I think of it, that's probably not the ONE thing I learned throughout college.

In conclusion, your reviews give me a happy.

Here's my theory on one of the reasons we all love Annie: Annie is optimistic about things. Things do not work out the way Annie hopes they will. Annie may briefly sulk, but then she keeps moving forward and finds the good, always. In short, she's a character you can not only relate to, but root for. As she grows up, that trait becomes more prominent, so I wanted to feature it in this story about such an important milestone.

Thank you so much for the read and feedback!
