I can tell you that I knew the exact second that the news networks called the election for Obama...  In Berkeley, a spontaneous cheer went out from virtually every house.  It was pretty crazy.  I've never heard anything like it.  I could hear the noise of people cheering from INSIDE my house.  I opened the door, and you could just hear this

I knew immediately. I was watching CNN the entire time, clapping my hands with glee every time the blue number got bigger and bigger and the red one just inched along. It was like watching a horse race that you bet your entire house on and I FUCKING WON!!!
