Not only did it help me to realize yet another way that American culture can make me mad - it also gave me the impetus to go vegetarian. Okay, I was seriously considering it already. But this was an amazing reason to make the plunge.

i always tell people about the horse thing, they seem really surprised especially when i'm like "if you ever been to europe and ate mcdonalds it wasn't beef!" and then they are all grossed out for some reason. it's legal to slaughter and eat horse in america now. (thanks g.dubya, my favorite president ever)i think that puting a law on something like that is pretty dumb. people SHOULD be able to eat whatever they want to as long as the animals are treated(killed)humanely of course. oh and as long as they aren't going extinct or something. :)i wouldn't personally, cos, gross. i want my husband to eat me when i die. like make a big barbeque like in fried green tomatoes.
