There are a few others out there (i will list a better one next) but this is by far the slickest interface that i have seen for the idea.
When i REALLY have time to sit and read articles though, i go to News Is Free They have newsmaps for different sections like Newsmap does, but they also have a few options that Newsmap does not. The main thing is you can control how far back you want the map to display - the other wonderful thing about this one is you can pick your sources. If one site just gives teasers without any substance... dont include them in your news feed. My only gripe about NewsIsFree is that they do not store your settings for content and you have to redo the list each time you visit.
