If I ever got a job due to the fact that I'm a girl with boobs I'd be really upset. I didn't go to school for my whole life to slide into a job I don't deserve. Pretty much I'm of the opinion that if you want to do a job bad enough, even if you don't have all the necessary skills or experience then you should be hired. Enthusiasm and zeal count for a helluvalot more than someone who hates their job and does the minimum necessary to scrape by. And I'm sure there are other hiring managers who think the same way which is why I'm always encouraging you to apply for jobs even if you don't think you have all the necessary requirements. Because sometimes there are people who will look at you and say 'damn this girl has potential and who cares if she doesn't know this one particular program cuz she's willing to learn' and they'll want to give you a chance
