My beloved dog has passed away. Or more accurately, he was killed. Killed by 2 pit bulls... killed by the pit bulls owners, who set them on my dog and watched his stomach get ripped out... and killed by the state and their unwillingness to do anything despite the fact that these dogs have attacked other pets before

I'm going to push my mom to do it. Technically, she's his dog because he's in her possession (I can't have a dog here so she has him... and I didn't feel right about taking him from a farm anyway). She's been lax about this kind of thing before... we had a horse of ours die due to a trainer's negligence (she was boarding at the trainer's for, get this, training, and he ruined her digestive system because he didn't follow the instructions my mom gave him for her), and she never did anything about it. :|

Are you fucking kidding me? Thats so bullshit, I hope you report that to the cops or some animal place, because pit bulls like that are not fit to be around any other animals.

They've been reported to animal control or something before. I'm not sure about the cops but my sister said the state was unwilling to act so I need to get more information on that.

I hate pit bulls with a passion. I know part of it is bad ownership and bad breeding, but this is the second time one of our animals has been attacked by a pair of them. The last place we lived, one of our horses got attacked by a pair. Luckily, she got away with only a huge chuck of flesh ripped out of her leg, but she was better able to defend herself again a pair of beasts than Zac was.
