"Why is someone this fucking stupid taking a psych course?"
I feel this way about several people in pretty much all my classes.

I would feel sad, because I know they are instantly "different"/a minority. And I know how minorities are treated in America right now.

I've been a minority my whole life. Not in a gay way but I grew up as the only Hispanic child in school which is pretty darn hard when you're also poor in an affluent white community. But he also said he would "get help" for his child, if his child way gay. That doesn't sound like a worried-for-his-kid's growing up, it sounds more like a "help for the gayness" kind of thing. And that's what made me angry.

*nod* what you were saying makes total sense.

I was just chirping in because what he'd said was reminiscent to my initial reaction whenever I hear that something about a person is going to result in one tough lifetime due to a shit-headed society. It's a sad story.

But yeah, pitying someone because they think gayness is some disease to attack head on, is so asinine.

Yeah, I gotcha. My grandma and I were discussing it and about how he said getting help and she said she can't believe anyone would ever think that being gay is a choice because, "why would someone choose to deal with the crap they're gonna get from others?" It's so true, unfortunately.

People suck!
