Vesper/Duke Roger - Open

It was a fairly pleasant afternoon, alright as pleasant as it could be at the moment.  Assignments had gone up and Vesper found herself without an inmate, not that she should complain, but it could be a few days of being bored and restless until she had gotten her assignment and could do work.  A bored accountant wasn't necessarily the worst thing ( Read more... )

Roger lifts his face to the sky, smelling the air. He is still unsure of where he is, and the air doesn't smell like the sea. He scans the deck, looking for someone who might be in charge, his eyes finally resting on Vesper. He strides over to her slowly, measuring her.

When he reaches the rail, he leans on it, facing the void.

"Excuse me, but what is this place?"

A voice brought her attention around, ah! Someone to talk to. Hopefully someone friendly and won't try to make everything an argument or plainly offensive.

She watched the man with attentive eyes, observing his manner and noting his tone in which he spoke. And Vesper shrugged slightly to his question, 'To be honest, I'm not a hundred percent sure. Some people here are dead and this serves as a limbo, where they are tested. The inmates have to repent for sins and they are tested...and could return to life. The wardens have made a deal with a high being for their services.'

'Vesper Lynd,' she replied giving a tight businesswoman smile, but it was polite and slightly amused. 'And yourself?'
