1. We didn't want our kids to be one of many children in their respective classes with the same name. Griffin was found in a book of "Celtic" names. I kept trying to get my love to accept Conan as a name (visions of telling my son, "One day, Conan, you shall tread the jeweled thrones of the earth beneath your sandalled feet."), but she wouldn't go for it. Griffin just 'clicked' for us. Edward is my middle name, and Alexander is a family name on my dad's side. My mom told me that was what she wanted to name me ( ... )
