Housework Poll

I'm really interested in how often average people do various household chores. I really want to know what you actually do, not what you think is ideal or what in a perfect world you would do. (On cruise ships, they change your bedding daily and clean your bathroom twice a day - hard to achieve in the real world.)

I only mop when needed.... I sweep a LOT though...

I said I mop twice a month, but it usually averages out to once every 3 weeks or so. I vac at least 3 times a week (sometimes more often) because we have a dog. And if I didn't, the dust bunnies/fur balls would eat us.

I am admittedly a horrid housekeeper. Thank God my mom lives with me and enjoys doing a lot of it. I am good about dishes and clothes-I keep them done. But every thing else happens: A. When I can't stand them anymore, B. When company is coming over, and C. Whenever I have time and A and B apply.

My "dusting" involves noticing a film on this and then wiping it off. No idea how often. Certainly not systematic.

Our kitchen floor gets mopped when we're expecting company, or when there's a really yucky spill, whichever comes first.
