Writing openly about feelings and moods and failures and success and all that jazz publically is one of those double edged swords I find, and I'm sure I'm not alone here. Not many people read here, so it seems like a sensible place to braindump without too much fear, but if someone does read, then what? I dunno. I find the whole LJ thing a bit odd now as well. Facebook is a terrible place for writing things - perhaps it is an age thing as well. As we all get older, we feel less comfortable being so visibily angsty and raw - lets face it, that's how a lot of emotional outpourings come accross to other people. Not that I'm saying being angsty, or ourpourings etc are bad, not in any way. I fully support denying the ravages of maturity with emotional vomits, booze and jokes about farts.

Reading your post was interesting and for some reason, it triggered the rather random thought of "I wonder if Live-(adjective/adverb)-Journal would have lasted a little longer in people's day-to-day habits if it had been Live-(verb)-Journal".

Probably wouldn't have affected much really. But I think I might have understood the urge to document more and share it publicly in this/any forum.
