That was stunning. Different from your usual style, but Christ, did it work so well :D

I just love the concept of happiness for them, even it is for a few mere moments. The thing about this pairing is that it is so delicate, and neither of them are guaranteed any form of joy together given their circumstances.

Lol, I was quite shocked when I saw my name glaring out from my flist. I'd completely forgotten about my request!

Anyway, thank you! My comments mirror those others have left. Gorgeous imagery, as always, and with a very nice bittersweet tinge. This is the first ficlet you've written in quite a while that I liked! You wrote this knowing my preference for your old style, didn't you? Thank you so much!

I do hope you'll incorporate your old style wih your current one. I think it'll be a very good mix. :)
