thoughts on becoming a dr

Class today was kind of bust. Our 2nd lecture on embryological neuro pathology was given by a professor who is very, very ill. Our block director mentioned it at the beginning of the year, and I guess many of my classmates didn't catch it ( Read more... )

Sounds like those students are trying to become physicians for the so-called status instead of a genuine desire to help people. In fact, those students sound a bit off if you ask me. Lacking something in the human compassion department.

Reading this entry makes me so angry and scared that they will become doctors and think of and treat sick people this way. I wish I could have been there so I could report them.

Obviously the professor is there because he has valuable knowledge and experience, and is dedicated to sharing it with the next generation...that is very inspirational. He deserves respect for his dedication. Those students are a disgrace to the medical field.
