Fighting Game Tag Partner Theme

Jan 21, 2013 01:14

Name: Mysti

What games would you like to include for possible options? (You may include up to two games or series!) ...Dissidia Duodecim and P4A? (If only one's allowed, the former.)
If the games/series you've chosen were previous themes who were you stamped as? Would you like to disclude them for the sake of variety? Cecil for Dissidia... for P4A, Akihiko & Yu.
Would you prefer a male or a female partner? Or do you even have a preference? Nope.

Describe your personality:

The way I interact with people online isn't the same way I interact with people IRL: IRL, I prefer small groups. I don't like being around groups bigger than, say, eight or nine people. I can communicate and talk and all, I just drain very fast when I'm forced to interact with large groups. It's worse if I'm out with people I don't know that well, because most people I meet IRL just don't share my interests and it makes it really difficult for me to find common ground with them. Online, however - well, if I'm talking to you online, we most probably met through some kind of shared interest (like FF!), so I'm probably more inclined to be open and friendly and chatty. I'm also pretty obvious about my emotions most of the time.

Other things - I'd consider myself intelligent and intellectual (they're not the same to me); I enjoy learning things and solving puzzles. I need to feel like I'm thinking because I hate the feeling of rotting away mentally, so I'm happiest when I have puzzles to solve and things to learn. I usually pick things up pretty quickly, too, which helps, I guess. I consider myself compassionate and I try to see a situation from different perspectives in order to be as fair as possible. Being fair is pretty important to me, and I tend to be firm about my beliefs, so I try to stay close to them. I don't always succeed, but hey, I can try. I can also be pretty perfectionistic when things are important to me; when they're not, I'm a great deal more slipshod. I also react very badly to guilt-trips: I can be very critical of myself and I'm probably good enough at guilting myself without someone adding to it.

When I'm more comfortable I tend to fall into a more relaxed, snarky (and yes, gutter jokes abound in this mode) attitude. I don't generally like hurting others, but dislike is not the same as won't. I can, and more to the point, I will if I think it's necessary, although if I have to I'll try to make it quick and clean. Unless I'm that upset, which... I don't usually get. I'm protective of friends and family even if I have disagreements with them sometimes - as I said, I don't generally like hurting others, and I like seeing people I care about get hurt even less. I'd frankly be a lot happier solving arguments peacefully, as a rule, though.

Other than that... I can be impatient with people - usually it occurs when I think people are not willing to learn, which drives me up the wall. I tend to assume I'm the weakest link in any party right up until I get confident in my abilities, which can be a bit of an issue because, as I said, I'm a perfectionist. I'm also ridiculously stubborn and opinionated; I need to voice my opinion and have it heard. (I'd make a terrible nameless flunky. I snark too much.)

Positive Traits: intelligent, compassionate, witty, determined, loyal, creative
Negative Traits: snarky, stubborn, over-emotional, temperamental, procrastinator, sarcastic

Think back to the last time you worked well with someone. Why did the two of you work? It worked largely because we could communicate well and there was a smooth exchange of ideas - we could really bounce ideas off each other. Also, there was no... shall we say, a disparity in workload expectations?
And now let's hear the negative experiences. Why didn't you two work? ...We don't get along? I can tell when people are trying to backstab me, that kind of thing? I'm not getting a response? That kind of thing.

The people you prefer working with tend to be more...
Mature or Immature: Mature.
Leader or Follower: Mmmm, either's fine. Communication is key.
Optimistic or Pessimistic: Optimistic.
Impulsive or Cautious: No preference!
Outgoing or Shy: Also actually no preference.

What kind of impression do you want to give your partner when you first meet?: That I'm smart and I pick things up fast?
...And what kind of an impression would you want to have of them?: That I can work with them. That's really the impression I want to get. The factors that work to that kind of differ - but easygoing, good sense of humour, smart, kind, witty etc. all work as pretty good gauges.
What sort of fighting style do you think you'd have? Would you want your tag partner to have a similar fighting style or do you like a bit of a contrast from you? ...Or does it even matter to you? Precision strike. Doesn't matter if I'm doing it with melee or with magic, although generally I favour a blend of the two. Partner-wise... Dissimilar but complementary.
In tag-based fighting games, there's usually some sort of special team attack. What do you think your attack with your partner would look like? I don't know. Awesome?
Why do you think your partner would even team up with you in the first place? Do they just like you or does the idea of fame and fortune entice them? We probably meet up and hit it off pretty quickly.
Would it be necessary for you and your partner to see eye-to-eye on everything?: Nope! We just have to be civil about it to each other.
So you've won the tournament... Congratulations! Do you and your partner stay friends afterwards, do you both just go your own way... Or were you maybe rivals that were putting your differences behind just for this event? Eh. We're friends. And if my partner is up for it, next tournament, please!

Are there any characters you don't want as a partner? (You may pick up to three characters.)
Anything else you'd like to add?
