Today I split open my cold, blackened, charred example of a heart, and much to my surprise, revealed fresh, sticky, live blood. It oozed from the opening that caused it like a fresh waterfall of melted snow, cascading delicately down a mountain.
I had no idea I could feel.
Especially pain so deep.
So much at once really.
