Goro Goro at the Front
I went to see Goro Goro at the Western Front, the culmination of a residency curated by Don Chow for artist Heri Dono. The result was very interesting as Indonesian shadow puppets met technology. I am working on using similar technology with my friend Sutrisno Hartana, who was also part of the show. More on this later. -

I have finally obtained my Arts degree.

'cause my student loan will ensure conformity,
or they can move to destroy me,

My encounters with "right to life" protesters
I have often encountered these "right to life" protesters on campus, in front of hospitals and in other places. I have often approached them. They are usually well-scrubbed, well-fed, well-meaning and completely ignorant of any lifestyle outside of their comfortable neighbourhood. Everyone seems very busy these days. At first I thought it was only me, but now I realize that everyone is busier than I remember. When I was young, there used to be a lot of magazine articles on "The Future" - everyone predicted fewer working hours and more leisure time due to automation and modernization.
