You Me At Six - Bite My Tongue
It's time for a fangirl rant. But not a JE fangirl rant... how exceptional. xDD
I've finally watched the You Me At Six documentary DVD that came with the LE of their new album Sinners Never Sleep. I actually felt quite guilty that I hadn't watched it yet, since I was quite looking forward to the release of that album.
well... The album is amazing!!
I loved their first album a lot when it was released, after that I kind of lost interest and I only listened to their second album this summer, but this album! I love it very much! =D
What I didn't like so much about the DVD is what a couple of them said about the first album. They basically think, when listening to Take Of Your Colours now, that it rather sucks. So not true! =/ Well, they are critical, I guess that's a good thing.
The DVD is kind of like a normal JE making of DVD, but with a bit less messing around and a lot more honesty. Also very cute how low-scale they started. Josh said somewhere something like "There were 4000 people who were there to see us!" That makes me think: And we think that a JE single is a flop when it sells less than 100.000 copies, or something. Isn't that weird? These guys, they're so normal, yet so amazing. And somehow, unlike idol groups, there's no need to personally gain fans. Like 'Im the most popular, I get the most attention!' And that somehow feels so weird.
I also read the recent Kerrang! With YMAS on the cover and the story in there was similar to the DVD, but hearing them say it out loud is just so much better. =3
And something else about a comparison to JE. They went to Japan in 2010 and they thought the Japanese audience are quiet. Say what? There were apparently no KYYYAAAA-ing fangirls at their concerts. How very, very strange. Especially since they are handsome young British men...
Sorry for ranting, I'm kind of excited by re-discovering my old fandom. wwww. And I'm still hoping I'll get to go to their concert in Utrecht in december...
