Hi my name is Emily. I am 20 years-old and 4,11. I was born 5 months premature and weighed the same as a pound of butter. I was on heavy oxygen for the first year of my life. The oxygen weakened my retinas and damaged them thus causing my visual impairment. The name of my eye disease is Retinopathy Of Prematurity (ROP

My situation is very similar to yours. I was born premature and the oxygen damaged my retina. My sight is probably also similar to yours. I don't wear glasses because they don't really help. I started using a white cane about a year ago.
