I was thinking... and hurt myself. lol No, but really, I was thinking about the theory of absolute zero -- the temperature in which all molecules stop moving -- and how I believe it is impossible. For the record, absolute zero means 0°K (Kelvin), -273°C (Celsius), or best understood as -459.4°F (Fahrenheit ( Read more... )

It's an interesting theory, and it makes sense... But you have to take the conservation of energy into account. It wouldn't necessarily cease to exist at absolute zero. It would probably just all be stored as potential energy. So it's still there. It would just have to wait for an outside force with some kinetic energy to "warm it up," so to speak.

That's what I think, anyway. Then again, I suck at physics. But I do rock the chemistry.

Oh, and when were you going to tell me Alex and Frances were dating?

Thanks for keeping me in the loop. =P

you can't forget that energy exists, so it could never "cease to exist" due to the whole "matter can not be created or destroyed" thing... unless sucked in to a black hole! mwahaha I changed it to "... to move". But yeah, I figured if everything is frozen over, then where would that kinetic energy come from?

btw, this might be a rumor and all, and I have good sources, but Miller and Frances are dating.

Well, it's a theory. And apparently, it hasn't been achieved. By definition, I think it exists, but it could be a completely different number for all we know. That's why it's just a theory.

And thanks. I already found out at the orchestra concert when I talked to Frances and Kelsey. XD
