Ah, that's the feature I have questions about. I've looked around the Apple page, but it doesn't say exactly what kind of videos can be played. Also, can you convert videos to a file that will play on the ipod or do you need a seperate program?
The videos have to be .mp4 files. (And maybe .mov files will work too, but I won't swear on that.)
You can convert .avi files and such to .mp4 using a seperate program. I'm a PC user and use this one. If you're a Mac person, I know converters exist for that as well, I just don't know them by name.
If you have any other questions just let me know. :)
have you had any problems with it? and how long have you had it versus usage-per-day?
I used to own a 4th generation 40 gig, and it died, was replaced, ran out of warranty and the replacement died about a month later. Needless to say, I was not pleased by this. Apple wouldn't touch it and HP was useless. Ergo, I'm a bit shy about buying a new one, but I miss the iPod-y goodness. I used the original almost non-stop, and it lasted longer than the one I used for about 3 hours per day.
Sorry to dump the sob story on you, I'm just curioud as to whether or not this is something I ought to worry about much should I buy a new one?
