Star continued slicing up the onions, head bowed slightly. "Why? Are they not happy together already?"

"Of course they are. But they've been together so long, we thought they'd never make it official. Terry says it's cause their last marriages worked out so badly, but, I don't know, maybe they're getting past that or something."

He keeps chopping in silence for a few moments, pausing to scrape the onion into the pot. "What is not official about how they are now? Are we less 'official' for not being married? Is that why Jamie keeps hitting on you?"

"Marriage is official. That's what it's about. We're not official like that." He frowns. "Madrox wouldn't stop hitting on me because he's an asshole, but everyone else would."
