Nala's magic is pretty strong. You can't revive people with it, but you can heal wounds and broken bones, as well as most poisons. It doesn't fix bloodloss, though.

...what noise?

Would you say it has the strength of a Cure or of a Curaga? If her powers do little more than my own magic, I might decide to try and contact another instead.

I'm not certain. I thought it sounded somewhat like a barely audible whisper, but there was no one nearby and nothing hiding behind the trees. ...I heard no words, at least.

You're probably better off with your own healing magic, though I don't see the harm in contacting Nala just because. Maybe Kipinn? He teaches wind magic, and he's one of Kain's favorites.

That was probably one of the spirits. They aren't visible, but they're all over the place.

Wind would be nice. I've not been on an airship in ages. However, I think I'll try to speak to the lady first.

That's quite reassuring. I don't suppose that was Nala already?

What kind of noise?

It sounded like an inaudible whisper, somewhat. But I could not hear any words.

A whisper?

[He takes a few moments to consider that. He's only ever been successful with the wind spirit himself. Because young!Kain is fail at any magic that's not wind-affiliated.]

...One of the spirits, perhaps?

That's quite possible, and would in fact be one of the better options. I wonder which one it could be?

What do you think might happen if it's an experiment?

The noise becoming louder with no apparent source, or perhaps forming words, though I do not know what it would talk about. I've little experience with experiments, and the ones I've lived through were not this subtle.

You think the noise you heard was a voice?

It sounded somewhat like one, at least. I'd be more certain if it spoke more loudly, but I doubt encouraging experiments is a good idea.

I don't really know. I've not tried to find out.

[Probably because he's got better magic than you, Dad.]

You don't exactly need it, all things considered. Your natural talent for healing is already quite acceptable.

[Even Kain does. The whole universe is unfair.]

[Just acceptable though. Nothing close to exceptional.]

I've not mastered the half of what I could.

[Unfair? He's the only white mage that doesn't get Teleport.]

And you still have many decades to do so. Besides, from what I've seen you've been learning at an excellent pace.

[That's okay, Teleport sucks! Even if Route!Cecil would really like to have it back tyvm. Haste is way better anyway.]

I've never made an offering to her before, but a friend of mine mentioned that he would after performing a particularly difficult bit of healing.

Is that so? Did he favor a particular offering, or did it depend on circumstances?

Probably circumstances, seeing as how he didn't consider it a common practice.

Did he ever speak of her reaction to the offerings?
