Archive Heechul blinked when he spotted the back of a familiar figure. Yoochun?
As if hearing his silent thought, Yoochun turned around and saw the one person he was trying to avoid in order to delay his death. “Heechul-hyung…”
Yoochun readied himself before walking towards Heechul. Before he could get a word in, Heechul spoke.
“Yoochun ah, how did you get here so fast? Sungmin just left the campus for our apartment.”
Oops. Yoochun was sure now that Heechul was going to strangle him.
“Kyuhyun-sshi is back at his dorm. I brought him there when he said he didn’t feel comfortable staying in the apartment alone. Oh look at the time. I’ve got a test, Heechul-hyung. I’ve got to go! Bye!”
Yoochun rambled on, quickly making an exit before Heechul could process his words.
“He what?”
Heechul was left standing alone in the corridor when he finally understood what Yoochun said.
“Chullie ah, what’s going on? Why are you standing in the middle of the corridor?”
Leeteuk walked up to Heechul.
“Kyuhyun has gone back to the dorm.”
“Oh. Is he alright now?”
“Teukie ah, I’ll leave that to you. I have a lecture now.”
Heechul turned, walking towards the other building for his lesson, thinking.
Cho Kyuhyun, beware. Mothering Park Jungsu heading your way.
People around Heechul quickly backed away from the positively evil aura emitting from the feminine-looking man. They pitied the one who invoked his wrath.

Sungmin was about half way to Heechul’s apartment when he received a text. He re-read the text to make sure that it was not his eyes playing a trick on him. Quickly he texted Heechul, apologizing for not being able to help him and hurried towards the location where he knew Shindong was waiting for him.
This will not be good.
Sungmin thought as the two headed off grimly towards their house.

Leeteuk was on his way towards the dormitory building when he spotted someone looking confused in front of the building.
“Hello, can I help you?”
It was a rather handsome guy who met Leeteuk’s question, though Leeteuk was sure that the guy was at least a couple of years older than him.
“Oh, it’s fine. I’m just looking for someone.”
There was a slight accent in the voice which Leeteuk could not place where it came from.
“I’m Leeteuk, the dorm head here. Maybe I can help you find who you’re looking for?”
The guy’s eyes lit up at Leeteuk’s mention, though only briefly.
“I’m looking for Cho Kyuhyun-sshi.”
Leeteuk blinked. “Cho Kyuhyun?”
The guy nodded. “Is he not staying here?”
“Oh no. He’s staying here. I’m just thinking what a coincidence it is for I was going to head to his room. Please follow me.”
Leeteuk hurried to reassure the guy, although it was freakishly coincidental.
As they walked towards Kyuhyun’s room, Leeteuk could not help but asked questions.
“Erm, so why are you looking for Kyuhyun-sshi…”
The guy turned towards Leeteuk as they climbed the stairs.
“Oh, I’m Brian. I just needed to talk to him.”
The guy, now named Brian, flashed an easy smile to Leeteuk. Leeteuk nodded, but could not suppress the feeling that there was something deeper than ‘just talking to him’. I wonder what their relation is.
Silence fell between the two of them with Leeteuk not quite sure whether he should ask more questions to learn about the rather evasive second-year and Brian trying to focus his mind on the upcoming talk with Kyuhyun. Since most of the students were at classes, the pair did not meet anyone on their way to Kyuhyun’s room. They came to a stop in front of a door.
Leeteuk rang the door bell, waiting anxiously for someone to open. The fact that Kyuhyun was sick resurfaced in his mind. He was about to press the bell again when the door opened.
“Leeteuk-sshi, what are you doing here?”
“Hyung, just call me hyung. Are you okay? You look so pale. I wonder what Heechul was thinking when he let you come back here. Alone. What are you doing standing up? You should be resting…”
Leeteuk rushed out, ushering Kyuhyun into the room, settling the younger on the chair much to the annoyance of Kyuhyun and the bemusement of Brian. Brian hid a chuckle as he saw Kyuhyun try to intercede Leeteuk’s words but fail.
“…Do you need anything? You should drink more water. No don’t argue with me. I’m going to get the water now.”
Leeteuk cut off any protest from Kyuhyun and headed to the kitchen.
“He seems like a really nice guy, doesn’t he?”
Kyuhyun turned his head at the voice. He had completely failed to notice the presence of another person with all his attention diverted to Leeteuk. His eyes widened as he saw the person standing by the door. He stood up instantly, knocking the chair over.
“Hyung!”
But he stood too quickly. The sudden blood rush to his head made him dizzy as the world turned black in front of him.
“Woah, be careful.”
Kyuhyun felt an arm around his waist, tensing as he heard the voice right next to him. Because his eyes were still closed in an attempt to gain some semblance in his tilting world, Kyuhyun did not notice the concerned and furrowed brows of his hyung nor the worried face of Leeteuk as he came rushing out of the kitchen, a glass of water in his hands in reaction to the loud resounding crash of the chair.
Kyuhyun was guided back to the chair as he slowly opened his eyes. As the blurry face became sharp, Kyuhyun could only wonder why his hyung was here.
“Are you alright?”
Kyuhyun nodded, though he did not know who asked the question. A glass was pressed into his hand as Leeteuk’s face came into view.
“Are you sure?”
Taking a sip, Kyuhyun nodded once more. “I just stood up too quickly.”
Leeteuk still did not look satisfied at the answer but did not push the matter.
“Leeteuk-sshi, I’m fine.”
Kyuhyun then turned his attention back to Brian. So far, Brian had been silent, letting Kyuhyun and Leeteuk interact.
“What are you doing here?”
“To talk to you.”
“You could have just called.”
Brian set his backpack on the floor, taking a seat next to Kyuhyun.
“I would, but I knew someone would just ignore what I was going to say.”
Kyuhyun tensed, unable to deny the statement.
“Leeteuk-sshi, I’m fine. You don’t have to stay here.”
Leeteuk looked between the two. There seemed to be some tension between them, unresolved tension. Leeteuk doubted that the two would resolve anything if he stayed there. Brian did not look like he would harm Kyuhyun - at least not in the physical sense. Instead, Brian seemed to genuinely care for the younger. Kangin called it his motherly instincts to be able to distinguish those who would harm his children. He nodded, conceding to Kyuhyun’s wish.
“If you need anything, I’ll be in my room. It’s nice to meet you Brian-sshi.”
Leeteuk bowed and proceeded to let himself out, not allowing Kyuhyun to stand again. Kyuhyun still looked pale in Leeteuk’s eyes, but he always did in the first place. Leeteuk only hoped that his decision would turn out fine.
“What are you doing here?”
Kyuhyun spoke first, looking at Brian. He had not seen his hyung ever since he last saw him about the transfer, which had been a while back already. He saw a slight hurt flash through Brian’s eyes at his harsh tone, but he quickly squashed down the guilt that threatened to emerge. He was not the one to leave without a word.
Brian bit back a sigh. He knew the younger was still angry about him leaving one year ago after his mother’s death. Although they had talked slightly, the slightly brotherly relationship that he managed to build with Kyuhyun was torn into shards by his mother’s death. Brian wanted to bring Kyuhyun along when he left, but he had no means of supporting both of them at that time. He knew that it was not the answer Kyuhyun looked for, nor was it what Kyuhyun believed to be the truth.
“Kyuhyun…”
Brian reached out to hold Kyuhyun’s hand, ignoring the slight flinch as his hands wrapped round Kyuhyun’s fingers.
“I got a call from the clinic.”
The stiffness in Kyuhyun’s stature made him wish that he was not here to say those words.
Kyuhyun stared away not wanting to hear, but knowing in his heart that those words would come sooner rather than later.
“It’s getting worse.”

Sungmin and Shindong entered the room, surprised to see Zhou Mi there as well. What was more surprising was the fact that only the three of them together with his father were in the room. Sungmin schooled his expression as he took his place on the sofa. A short glance at Zhou Mi proved that Sungmin was not the only confused or puzzled at the whole situation.
“I have a mission for you.”
All three tensed in their seats. Zhou Mi could still distinctively remember those words uttered to him for the first time which led to him leaving his best friends almost forever. Shindong guessed that considering that it was going to be Sungmin’s first mission, it would not be overly dangerous, but it could potentially still be. Sungmin had been dreading this day ever since he made that promise to his father. He did not like what his family did and had no wish to be part of it. But his father made him a promise that if he completed one mission and still could not see in the same way as them, Sungmin would then be free to do what he desired. The key was that Sungmin had to complete the mission.
“We’ve been asked by a close acquaintance to investigate this person. Find out his past, his present, his parents, friends, anything and everything.”
The three nodded. Sungmin sighed mentally, glad that it was fairly simple.
“According to the acquaintance, he attends the same university as you all.”
Now that was going to be awkward. Shindong knew that his gut feeling was right.
“His picture is inside the envelope. You start the mission tomorrow.”
Sungmin reached for the envelope on the table, slowly peeling out the flap. Turning the envelope over, a photograph fell out. The other two leaned closer as Sungmin flipped the picture over.
Zhou Mi’s eyes widened, as Shindong tried to hold in his gasp. Sungmin’s hand gripped tighter on the envelope. All three were in shock at who they saw in the photograph.
This is really not going to bode well.

“Wookie ah, do you still want the information you asked for the other time?”
Kibum asked his friend as he finally caught the other boy alone for once in ages. For the past few times, Ryeowook had always been in the company of his fellow Musician Henry. They were apparently working on a production together with the drama students.
“What information?” Ryeowook asked, having forgotten about his request when it hit him. “Oh! I do. Let’s find a place to sit.”
Kibum nodded, heading towards a secluded part of the school, somewhere he had discovered in order to avoid his over-hyperactive hyung for a few quiet moments to himself every day.
“Where’s Henry?”
“He said he was going to go back to his dorm. Apparently Kyuhyun’s sick.”
Kibum suddenly halted in his steps with the oblivious Ryeowook continuing to walk.
“Sick?”
“Han Geng-ge called home last night saying that he would be staying at Chullie-hyung’s place to look after Kyuhyun.”
Ryeowook turned, blinking when he saw an empty spot next to him.
“Kibum? What are you doing there?”
Kibum shook his head, ridding the worried thoughts of a certain tall boy named Kyuhyun in his head.
“Nothing.”
Kibum sped up towards the bench inconspicuously tucked at a corner, effectively stopping any questions Ryeowook might ask.
Ryeowook tilted his head, pondering slightly on the odd behaviour of his friend.
“He should be better now since he’s back at the dorm.”
Ryeowook said as he placed his bag on the bench, taking a seat across Kibum. He did not notice the look of relief that came across Kibum’s face at his words. Ryeowook stared at Kibum, deciding that Kibum was certainly acting strange today.
“Kibum?”
Kibum focused on Ryeowook, a slight blush appearing on his face at being caught in his thoughts which once again revolved around one person.
“Right.” He turned to his bag, taking out his laptop.
“You’re sure you got the name correct?”
Ryeowook nodded. “I’m pretty sure it was St Marie Church Orphanage.”
“And the date?”
Ryeowook nodded again.
Kibum glanced lightly at Ryeowook, debating within whether to just show the information he found. Sighing, he turned the laptop around such that the screen was now facing Ryeowook.
“The church burned down two days after the date you gave me.”
“What?”
Ryeowook looked stunned at Kibum before looking at the screen. And indeed, on the screen the big title from the newspaper article flashed darkly.
“Orphanage Burned to Ground.”
“Was there…” Ryeowook gulped. “…Was there any survivors?”
Kibum stared at the pleading eyes, eyes that hoped that there was a miracle. He knew that Ryeowook had a connection with the orphanage for he was the only one - other than Heechul - in their group that knew that Ryeowook was adopted from an orphanage. The rest simply thought that Ryeowook had been Hankyung’s cousin and that his parents had died, leaving Ryeowook under the care of his aunt and uncle. Kibum just did not know what connection it was.
He shook his head gently.
“No one survived.”
