Cellphones are still allowed in aircrafts.. dunno where you got that info from. You can have cell phones in the aircraft and are permitted to use them until the cabin door is shut, at which point they must be turned off. And you can't use them because first off, the cell phones most likely won't even WORK from the air, and secondly I'm pretty sure that if an entire plane had cell phones turned on, their signals would mess with the equipment the pilots use. I'm pretty sure about this one.. my boyfriend is a pilot and told me something like that a long time ago. But I do know for SURE that you can have a cell phone and can use it before and after landing when the cabin doors are open ( ... )

Yeah like I said I am not positive about that stuff.. I mean I am pretty sure that they won't work from that high up... although when I've flown with Jonathan in his little planes and we don't fly up to high, we've been able to use our cell phones right there in the cockpit and they've worked.. but I just figured that it was because we weren't too high up in the air or anything. I remember hearing about people calling during 9/11 but it makes me wonder was it because they were closer to the ground (the hijackers had to fly the planes much closer to the ground than a normal plane so they could ya know.. crash into the buildings lol) but I am not sure.. As for the gov. being full of shit, haha with the way things are going today I wouldn't be surprised if they were since they are usually full of shit half the time anyways lol ( ... )
