Some of those hardware-store NO PARKING signs might clue people in that you're in fact living there now. Especially once you have tenants you want to set the tone. It's a little gray if they've observed some neighbors parking back there with impunity.

Yes, it's $30 for alley parking illegally, but $250 to park on someone's property without permission. So "You kids get off my lawn" is legitimate, enforceable, and $250 per violation!
