My effect on people is more polarizing than it has ever been. I have many friends who adore me, and my ability to love and receive love from them has never been greater. But I have so many who view me with disdain, or even fear, despite having no intentions to inflict harm, and every intention to fulfill those I know as much and as often as I can

You can never win with everyone, and if you try too much you will end up diluting your sense of Self. That's not necessary such a bad thing: people don't have to be bastions of clearly delineated egos to be wonderful. But, at least I think that it's good that we have some people like you around.

That said... it is worth trying to mend misunderstand and repent for past mistakes. People might not love you, but at least they can forgive you, and the world will be better for it.
