Ok I need help - I have a friend visiting from Toronto - the one I stayed with for two months a while back. And she has aske dwhat would I love for her to bring from Canada - I'm stumped and I feel this might be an insulting answer - what can't we get here that is wonderful there (apart from s5?) and why can't I remember a darn distinctive thing? Hello!

Personally, I think their version of S1 of WW (with all its lovely extras) would be a fine thing to have (and I should know as I have it ...). Much cheaper than here, and you can get a really cheap (£30 ish) multiregion dvd player from amazon.co.uk to play them on.

Or you could just go with Maple Syrup.

I know what I would choose. ;)

But then, she may just remember to bring the empty packaging. Not that I'm bitter about my own personal experience here ... I did get my cd in the end.

hehehehehe...

she's not even talking about me. Must be fraternising with some other Canadians. N knows better than to ask me to be organised about something.

hmmm, good canadian things? CDs are really cheap here... hmmm, chocolate's like eating lard... polar Ice vodka is very very good... the best thing about canada (me) is coming over anyways...

OH! I can *definitely* do lunch on thursday darling. I don;t know where yet, but i can call during the week I suppose.

hmmmm, did you have poutine while you were over here? not exactly transferrable but you can impress them with your knowledge of it.

mmm, cheese curd and gravy.... (actually delicious. I'm not even joking)
