Okay, that doesn't have a lot to do with anything, it's just an anecdote. :P I guess the relevant thing is that I didn't see the photo until years later, after we'd broken up and I moved back to MI, but it made me super mad at him all over again.

The part that annoys me is that there are people who are exploiting this pic and making it "recent" for the sake of selling papers or gain notoriety. It speaks of people's inability to become serious before a disaster of this magnitude--regardless of religion, nationality, culture, etc. To me it's about respect and empathy and it's sad to see that in some cases they are nonexistent.
