You Don't Know Me But I Want To Friend/Join You
I have one post on my journal right now (I guess this makes it two) so if you're afraid of strangers I may scare you a little. If I friend you or want to join your comm and get rejected, I understand. But I'll give it a try anyway.
Here are my reasons:
Reason One I'm currently friendless. My two best friends, who I met in 2nd grade, went to junior high with, went to high school with, survived college together although we were apart (All in NY State though) do not have livejournals and will never have Lj accounts. If they did you'd be seeing two names under my friends list. But its not their style. They have myspace. I never got into that. (I'm shocked too) I could go over to facebook and announce that I've opened up a Lj account but I rarely keep in touch with the people there so why be redundant. My circle of friends really just consist of Bg &Ppd. (nicknames I appointed them. They know what they mean and hate it ~muaahhhh~ <--supposed to be evil laugh) In real life I don't need anyone else but them. Luv you guys =0) But this isn't real life. Its the web. I'm friendless! Don't know anyone because I lurk in communities and think rather than speak! So yeah thats reason number one.
Reason 2 I need to stop lurking. Why? ~ shrugs~ I can't get into the really cool clubs. Delurking is more difficult than it seems. I think interaction with people helps. I'm really shy...in the beginning.
Reason Three I love your icon. I want to steal it but I won't. I'll become your friend than steal it. Its easier.
Reason Four I like interesting people. And nothing screams interesting like mystery. What's more mysterious than a friend's only Lj? Channeling House here, "What are you hiding?"
Reason Five I LOVE your writing.
I've read your posts on a community we both belong to.
We have common interests. At least that's what your user info says. Can't tell otherwise because I need to be your friend first in order to get to know you.
I'm boring and need you to help spice up my life. (sounds creepy) I'm boring so its nice to talk to other boring people (insulting)
