A friend of mine made a very good point about the needlessness of Wash's death being good for the movie because it gave it a spark of realism. That's life. Most heroes don't go down in duels or leading armies into battle, or get any last words. They get shot in the back and that's it. Even though I'd prefer a living Wash, I think his death was good because it was a real death for a real character.

I have a feeling you get that, but I still wonder why it seems so difficult for other fans to grasp.

My alternate word for "needless" was "gratuitous". But as you can see I wasn't spelling it right, so I chose another word.

C'MON!! What about my Book theories?

I would comment on them if I'd seen more than one episode of Firefly, but I haven't! I've only seen the first episode, and the movie.

It's a set of DVDs that I am in dire need of, I tell you what.

Damn RIGHT you need them. Buy one less White Chocolate Mocha Latte with no foam, everyday for a week and you'll be able to afford the set ( ... )
