So, I know this is incredibly too early to be thinking about Christmas presents... but some of the presents have to go interstate, others to what is pretty much the other side of the world... and I don't want to have to buy 24 presents in the last weekend before Christmas ( Read more... )

Heh. Am I forgiven if I suggest my latest YA, "Gift of the Unmage" (first in the Worldweavers series) for the 12-year-old or the 13-ywar-old or even the 16-year-old, if they're readers? If you think this might be a good idea and you want them signed for recipients, let me know and I'll send you signed bookplates you can stick into the books...

You're definitely allowed to suggest it... And I'll certainly think about it...
Actually it might be good for the 13 year old ^^ At least I'm more than 85% sure she's a reader... the others I don't know for sure...

Thank you :)

Girl - 17 nearly 18 years - jewellery, if you know her taste, good, otherwise go for a nice simple necklace/earring set ( ... )

another suggestion for the almost 18 year old if she's in Australia; movie gift certificate at her local cinema. My son got his sister the couples one last year, and it was great. Came with a trailer dvd so they knew what movies were coming up, gave them vouchers for tea/coffee after the movie, two free tickets and two half price tickets and vouchers for popcorn combos. Valid for 6 months.

By local I'm assuming you don't mean the nearest Greater Union... Or do you?? But hmm this is something I hadn't thought about...

Girl - 17 - 12 years = Book (there are a few choices here)

Girl - 8 years = LEGO (there's lots of variety there)

Boy - 6 years = LEGO

Boy - just over one year = rock hard plastic cars or cardboard books or bath toys

Boy - almost a year = similar stuff to over one year

Not a lot there but gets you started.

helllllo :]
16 & 17 year old I'd suggest either various items of makeup; Kit (which should be in Myer in NSW) has a whole gathering of different brands so you could hunt around there.

Otherwise, I'm not really sure, hehe. If you do get stuck, you can't really go wrong with gift cards. :]
