I can't agree with you on this particular Palestinian issue. I sympathesize with the plight of the displaced Palestinians and I disagree with both of their governments, but olive trees ain't the issue at hand here. There's bigger work to be done here.

This city is racist, but it's problems are based on it's inherent classism (and thus relates back to racism). Fuck a stadium in the Bottom. It gets me so angry that these small businesses (which are not all owned by rich white dudes, many are stuggling) will be pushed out in favor of corporations. Women, children poor folk in the East End will be displaced and have to deal with subpar public transportation in favor of yuppie loft dwellers and Colonial RVA "tourism".

RVA is a wreck. The police are corrupt, VCU is steadily expanding, ignorant middle class hipsters are contributing to gentrification, and Phillip Morris owns this city.
