To Rudimentary Instances of Shaping the Heart -

April 2nd, 2004

Soft light stands still and in its wake follows her
fleeting steps,

She graces the ground, barely touching and floats to
me in ever-fading dreams,

Consciously aware of nothing, I breathe for the first
time and there is dawn in her eyes,

A million more futures unfold before me and I am once

I definitely don't know what I want... tragicblonde June 10 2005, 17:26:21 UTC
...except maybe everything. I'm spoiled that way. Heh. Romance isn't all that important to me. In fact, I find it rather cheesy. I just want to be thought of. Like, "I'm sorry you didn't land that exclusive contract today. I had my fingers crossed for you. But hey, fuck 'em, let's get drunk and drive through Taco Bell for a Chalupa, or SEVEN." Ah, now that's romance...

I LOVED the poem. I'm not a complete bitch. ;o)

mmmmmm.... taco bell. dammit. now I'm probably going to have to go on a midnight run. anybody want anything? (I mean besides V's chalupas... I have to keep romance alive for her!)

I'm glad you liked the poem, I really like and that says a lot - because I never like my own work.

“I should have sent less flowers and found time to say ‘you look beautiful’, ‘I’m glad you’re here with me’, fixed your car when it was f-ing up etc. It really is the little stuff, nice words here and there, a kind gesture, romance is okay but practicality is better.”

I liked the poem very much.

I think that applies to a lot of people. A very keen observation, I definitely understand what you mean. I just wish I had stumbled upon this piece of gold here sooner.

I am going to have to read this poem when I'm less sleepy though to make sure it hits right.

Good day.
