Such a hot day this year for the celebration. I'm glad the bonfire was last night and not tonight, when it was cooler, and after beating the bounds this morning I am in no mood (or fit shape) to be out late tonight anyway. Still and all, everyone seemed to have fun; the dancing was lively, the contests remained good-natured, and the Maypole ended
