panties is the best, knickers is okay too. i find there are some pairs of underwear that i will only refer to as panties, styles in a more french kincker cut get the knickers label, otherwise spankies gets a good run for its money nowdays too.

haha, spankies. that's priceless. i hate to say it, but if there's a pair i don't desperately love, such as a few plain hipster pairs that i have, they just get called "undies". which i confess, is a little tragic, because it's not exactly a graceful word.
