Interests:
1. Cardcaptor sakura
CLAMP! Ok, now, where was I? Right, Sakura-chan and the mysterious book that was actually left behind for her and is not mysterious at all. It was the first Clamp series I saw, that I knew was Clamp's. I mean, I saw Magic Knights Rayearth but did not know about them or anything. So, CCS was (and is) my signature Clamp fandom. I used to come home everyday at 1:30pm to see it on Cartoon Network, and boy I had a trip with it. It was also my first glance at shounen-ai, making TouyaxYue my Clamp OTP. And yes, I saw the uncut dub XDD
After it ended, life returned to normal. It wasn't until 2006 that I attempted to look for it again. It took me some time, but I found where to read the manga online. But before the manga, came the fanfiction. Oh, my love for the series grew a lot during that time, reading all the classics in ff.net. By the time I found and read the manga, certain things had been spoiled already, but it did not matter. A week after I read it, I started writting fanfiction. And even though I owe my being an otaku to CCS nowadays, I have yet to finish both my CCS stories.
Pairings: All of the CANON couples. So yes, I do like Touya being straight for Kaho and gay for Yue. Eriol and Tomoyo has grown away from me, though, only few people can make it work and it is so fanon that it repels me. I also enjoy some TouyaxTomoyo and YuexRuby. SakuxSyao is always a favorite, but everyone write about them, so when I browse for fiction, I usually avoid the SxS only stories. Besides, SxS always make a big appearance on others, so it doesn't matter XD
2. Fire emblem
I'm a fan, and yet have only played it since FE6 XD
I'll have to wait for when the others are rerelased for newer systems, though, I don't think I could play the snes or nes ones. I actually played FE7 before FE6, which was much the better, since FE7 is actually the prequel to FE6. And rightfully, I hate Roy. That kid has nothing on Eliwood. But Hector's daughter, Lilina, she is so sweet and lovely!
I want the Wii to play Radiant Dawn, but people complain about the support system and how it screwed up the game. I'm not sure about that, because heck, if my fav characters can all support each other, well that is always good! Besides, I've played the other games very well without support. It's not a necessary thing XD
But the thing I love the most about Fire Emblem is the concept art.
3. Hitsuzen
Oh dear, hopefully this won't turn into a two page rant. I'm a catholic, so the concept of hitsuzen is not that distant from fate/destiny. I have always believed that some things are fated, and some things are never meant to be. That we all have a path that will be followed, because the grand plan works. It does not mean, however, that we are all pawns from destiny. That is one of the most often misconceptions.
After all, we do have free will. It is our choice how things will happen and will be dealt with, and no one elses.
Coincidences don't exist
I must say this line made me skeptical at first. I used to think, if coincidences do not exist, then luck doesn't either. And if luck did not exist, then we'd all have to be in the same state - no sickness or bad things happening. CCS only proved they did not exist, but it was a fuzzy logic and hard to grasp. Then holic came around, and explained things and how they work.
It is those things that we cannot control the ones that are inveitable, it becomes our choice what to do and how to deal with them. The decisions we make become the inevitability of our existance - the choices that sets us apart from the others, the choices that make us our own person. And when we decide to change - truly change - is when our paths in life are truly ours to set as we dispose, within the grand plan.
But people don't change. People learn, adjust to their surroundings, but they rarely change. To change is to become someone completely unlike your old self. Sometimes, change is necessary, but who says that change is always good?
It will be inevitable, change, because it is neverending and every choice we make can lead us to either back to what we know or to a change.
...I think I made a point across. Not sure which one, though XD
4. Mamma mia
I loved the movie, but I have yet to see the broadway show. Who knows when that will happen. Actually, most musicals are <3
It might as well have been Chicago.
But the reason I love musicals so much, is that I am a frustrated musician myself. I love music, and have a good ear to figure out songs, but I never quite learned how to play an instrument. I had a toy piano from when I was three, got an electric keyboard in sixth grade, and my sister's guitar. Yet, whenever I took any lessons, something would happen and I never got pass some chords. I also love singing, yet not as much as I love playing music. But I am, well, not terrible, but not a great singer. Barely ordinary on voice.
So yeah, I think this is a perfect example of hitsuzen at work.
5. Panic! at the Disco
I do not care what those guys smoke, but I want some of it. Actually, give me some of their crack and some of Clamp, and I'd be perfectly stoned. And I do not care either, if they say that they are now just Panic at the Disco, I'll always write it with the exclamation point.
They were recommended to me by some friends of my
Guild, and oh, the rhythm and beat in their first album is amazing. Sarcasm in my music? And the bashing is just the right amount not to sound offending, but to be true.
The second album was just like the title says: pretty odd. After the first one, people tend to expect certain things to cross over and be the same. Yet, the second album is NOTHING like the first one. The songs are slower, and there's even a country song in there. But they are deeper and more beautiful. I say, I dunno what those guys smoke, but to me, they are almost like a brittish band (the brittish have the greatest and craziest music writers, to me, read: coldplay, robbie williams, lilly allen....the list goes on XDD)
I can listen to them, and not get bored by the songs, no matter how long time passes. That's just how good they are.
6. Xemnas
first of all, I have not played Kingdom Hearts. I know that story is a bit messed up when it comes to the nobodies, but heck, I'd tap Xenmas any day. Actually, all Org XII guys are hot, but my favorite is Xenmas. Plus, the crack people post on Deviantart is so full of win.
There's not much to say but that he is tapable and I do like the bits of his personality I've seen.
I still won't play Kingdom Hearts just to see him....or see Axel's love sacrifice.
7. Montecristo
Let me tell you something about Alexandre Dumas: like lots of writers, the guy has a formula that was proven to work for him, and most of his works fall on that formula (Dan Brown being the most clear and worst example). Now, once you get past that, it's pretty much all about which one of his books you read the first (I've heard The Black Tulip is pretty much another Montecristo, but I'm not really interested in finding out). And if wikipedia is correct, there was a co-writer with him, which would explain how the heck he wrote that much in just a couple of years, but I digress.
In my experience, both The Count of Montecristo and The Three Musketeers are an experience on themselves. Montecristo has the perfect amount of angst, lust, revenge and even love, every novel should have. Well, an agsty one with hot characters. The characters are way better than what the hollywood movies and anime-with-crazy-texture-effects would portray, even if the latter one was a much closer rendition (without all the yaoi innuendos). Edmond Dantes is a wronged man, but a man that learns to live with what he was dealt; that he seeks to deal karmic justice on his own doesn't mean he wants everything he lost. He doesn't want Mercedes back, and his love for her is bitter, if anything. Mercedes doesn't want to be with him either, and only reminisces. There's nothing like, "oh, we loved each other, and we still do, despite everything."
There's no turning point for any of them; they changed and their love was lost. It is as simple as that. The other characters have lots of feats by themselves, but even if everyone he wanted to hurt ended badly, there was still a happy ending for those who deserved it.

Not!Reed by
ailequen This icon amuses me more than it should. The
other version is way funnier, but I think that one will be the next one to be deleted once a new icon comes across. Clow fangirl > Cornelia/Guildfor fan. Tru fax.
checkmate by me :D
Let's see. Who wouldn't want Schneizel in such a delicious icon?
Did it around the time the Chinese Federation arc had just started (before Failouch lost his chess match with him). Weird gradient and even weirder choice of purple, but oh, it is so pretty &hearts
TRC!Subaru by
yutsuki The only reason for this icon, is that it matches my layout. LOL
I had done the Twins one, but it wasn't good. This one looks pretty and matches layout. That's it!
CaramelDansenFTW! took from
gatekeepers_21 who wasn't sure who made it D:
It's so cute and lulzy! When the friending geass meme after the ending came, I saw her post with it, and asked to used it. Several others did, and since she wasn't sure who made it, she said ok XD
Interesting enough, I didn't friend her, lol
I know there's one around the nets with Cornelia dansen and Schneizel's back hurting of old age, and once I find it, I shall also use it XDD
