I have such a hard time answering questions about my divorce. It's too complex to sum up into two sentences, and it deserves more. Plus there's still a lot of emotion behind it. Very true. It's all for the best and I'm super happy now, but still having moments of grief.

It hurts to see my friends sad. I don't want to offer any, "I hope you feel better soon" type sentiments, because that sounds glib and patronizing relative to the subject, but I don't want to see my friends sad. I can only wish you the utmost happiness as a consequence of the lessons of all experiences, because at the end of the day, we're all just human. Someone I once loved was once quite fond of the quote, "Even a mistake may be the one thing necessary for a worthy achievement...". In my sadder moments, I still take some sort of weird comfort from that...
