Does anyone understand MS Project? I urgently need help - have to get something done by end of tomorrow (preferably today) and am really struggling. Will provide beer (or cider, wine, vodka etc) for the first who can actually help me!

All I want to do is add a new text column in that isn't pre-defined. It really doesn't want me to. At all.

Little bit late - I ended up here via microgirl.

If it's any use to you, right click the heading that will be to the right of your new column. Select insert column.

From the Column Definition popup box, select "Text 1" as the field name, enter a title for it in "Title", and you can write away in the new column.

Those instructions are for Project2003, but older versions were nearly exactly the same. If you need more help, ask microgirl to pass on my email details :)

Whilst I make no claims to understanding, I am at least forced to use it on occasion. Let us know what you are trying to do, and I'll see what I can do.
