I've been hit by the not getting notifications thing on LJ. I have no idea if you've replied to a comment/post I have made on your journal or a community- or whether. So this is pretty damn annoying. In the mean time I've cleared out my LJ inbox, and set comments to posting there- so at least I can check from now on. If you're having the same

Same problem here... It's so annoying. Claudia (house_walls) told me that it helped to change the e-mail address, but that didn't work for me either. *sighs*

Urgh. I hate that it hasn't been fixed already- I know I was getting more spam messages before this happened so I guess it's a good thing they're taking measures to stop people spamming our space- but still!!!! I thought about changing emails, I want to slowly move a lot of things over to my newer address anyway, but I like to try and keep work and social separate if I can! Hmm. I think I'll leave it for a few days before I change. Thanks for the advice!!

I had a problem with the notification thing, too! Really annoying but it´s working again for me since yesterday. Haven´t done anything. No idea what´s wrong with LJ.

It's frustrating as hell. I leave comments on soooo many people's journals, and it's damn near impossible to manually keep track of who's replied to me. And I just hate the LJ inbox thing for some reason. I WANT IT SENT TO MY OWN PERSONAL EMAIL DAMMIT!

No I completely agree, I HATE the lj inbox thingy. For one thing, it's not in the toolbar so I have to remember to go to the home page and refresh that rather than it just pop up in my actual EMAIL INBOX. But I've had to go for it, just because I want to keep track of people. DAMN IT.

LJ did a newsletter about the lack of notifications. Apparently all the major email providers (yahoo, gmail, etc) were bucking THEIR servers.... or something like that. I've only JUST begun to get my notifications sporadically. It's odd. I'll get a new comment right away, then five minutes later I'll receive 10 comments from March 14th.

Yeah I only just read that because I stopped reading news (there was a reason), and how they're counting LJ as spam now because of the redic amount of spammers spamming people here. I am just confused because only when they said they were fixing it and changing things (2 days ago), did AOL (yeah old email suckage anyway) decide to block it. AOL is sucker for blocking things anyway so I was surprised it didn't happen sooner. Since it happened I haven't received one email notification. urgh. It's just so bloody annoying, and I want it back NOW.
