Mac could hardly fail to notice someone screaming less than two feet away from her. She jerked awake, immediately reaching for Cally to check on her.

"Cally?" It was still quite dark, so she couldn't really see what was wrong. She could feel the damp of the blood, though, and that was more than a bit panicking. "Are you-- oh god, Cally?"

"Oh gods," Cally said. "Help, oh gods Mac... it hurts."

It took a very concerted effort from Mac not to flail as she pulled the sheets away from Cally. "Oh, god, not good." That might be an understatement. "Uh--" Yeah, very hard not to flail. "Clinic, this is not my area. At all."

Cally swallowed hard, reaching for Mac's hand to grip it tightly.

"Yeah. Just... help me," she said, her entire back screaming with pain as she moved.
