I make some of the exact same comparisons on things that are remotely related, but still share one solitary line to connect the dots. I notice I tend to compare things in this way and then go on a stream of consciousness at times when my mind has not completely gone on empty, but the rest of my body is completely exhausted. Some how during these moments of not caring about anything or accomplishing anything my mind becomes more free to run on tangents on loosely related things and derive amazing conclusions. I think this is how anything truly creative is ever started and then when you rest and regain true focus of where you are going and what you are doing, you can take this more abstract though process and mold it into something great ( ... )

How was your party? Sounds like you had a good time. Can't believe you got smashed the night before and on your real birthday you stayed home and played video games. You should be at a bar or something, loser.

I ran into a similar situation when I was in a clan when I played TFC. I was an admin on the server and I would have the occasional "female" player try to have "her" way with me. Because she could tell I was cute even though she was looking at a tan guy in overalls holding a spanner with a cigar hanging out of my mouth. Points to ANYONE that understands that reference.

A desire for attention and a fear of legitimate social interaction?
