Joe recently consented to look over a story I started and his complaint was that my male character doesn't talk like a guy.

So how do I talk like a guy and still advance the plot and not bore myself to tears?

It's hard to say without reading it, so maybe you can post a passage or two?

In the meantime, you definitely want to take out potential problem phrases like "my vagina."
