Last Wednesday (only four days ago!) I went out for Chinese buffet at the Purple Garden restaurant with my friend P. I'd just had an eye-doctor appointment, and she helped me pick out new frames. I was feeling generous, so I treated us both to dinner

I fell a few days ago -- last Tuesday, I think it was. I think the thing about falling, aside from the physical injuries, is that it's such a shock. It's like one moment everything is okay, and the next moment, CRASH! There's also the split-second when you suddenly realize, "Oh shit, I'm going to fall down," and it's very scary.

I hope your knees heal without any need for further medical intervention. Me, I still have a scab but the bruises are gone.
