You're absolutely right, and i cannot believe I forgot that when I was making my list. Luckily, none of them know it, and none of them picked it anyway.

I didn't require it, but I did make them recite it on the first day of the assignment. And one kid did write it on his folder.

Man I used to eat up R.L. Stine books. I was like... ten though, so they were still scary to me lol.

Oh man, back in the day I loved those things! Around 5th or 6th grade I was reading all the R.L. Stine and Christopher Pike that I could get my hands on. I blame them for my lingering fear of ventriloquist dummies.
