My students: The casting directors from hell

So today the kids had a mini-project to go along with the novels they're reading. They had to pretend they were making the movie of their novel, and then pick four characters to find pictures of and cast actors in those roles. That's okay... I'm slow enough today that it took me a full minute to figure out what That Other British Singer had to do with David Caruso's David-Caruso-ing. (As I read along, in my mind I was hearing the opening strains of That Band's classic, "Give-Me-Your-Tired-Your-Poor Song.")

Hi Jen's friend David! You're now on my friends list, so you can read all the really fun stuff.

And yes, Jack Nicholson would be a terrifying Pennywise. Pennywise was terrifying enough with whatever non-Nicholson person played him, and Nicholson is good at amping up the terror. In fact, I'm pretty sure that a movie with Jack Nicholson, Anthony Hopkins, and Christopher Walken being as scary as possible would be the scariest movie ever.
