I understand how you feel but, personally, I'm barraged by it. I read articles in the Economist every week, listen to NPR, watch it on the news, and read about it on blogs.

LJ is my break from all that.

Which is good, and I'm really sorry to have put something like this in a place you consider a break. I just know a lot of people who dont watch the news, or read articles online, or listen to NPR, so I try to get word out where I dont see it.

I should have put this behind an lj-cut though. I'll edit and do that right now.

Well, in your defense, most people DON'T really care. I feel like a horrible person admitting this, but I'm more intrigued by what will happen and what it means for everyone else. A lot of people don't care enough because, well, it doesn't affect them. It's easy to be detached when it's just something you watch on the news. I'm not giving you flack for your post, just letting you know that some people think about it than they let on. Granted, the majority don't though, and I don't know whether that's just a shame, or human nature. Either way, it doesn't look good, so I understand your worry.

I agree with you about being more concerned with what will happen. Its just getting so big, with the chain reactions. Its as awful as it is exciting. But the fact its not just Tunisia, or Egypt anymore makes me want to talk about it more. Because I think that really shows something and certainly makes me more concerned about whats going to happen in the near future. And thank you, I know you arent giving flack and I appreciate it. Thank you also for stating your opinion as well, you could have said nothing, so the fact you commented in the first place means a lot to me.

I've been following what's been going on a little bit. I knew about Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya, but I hadn't heard about New Zealand. It's crazy how it's turned into a chain reaction, though. Though it follows with history, since there was a point when every country was having a revolution, it seemed.
