So...Mirc?

My Mirc client isn't working properly and it just cut out one me in the middle of a conversation with soul_journey. I've tried reinstalling it, checking window's firewalls, etc. For some reason, it says connection denied. I have internet connection, hence this post. And it WAS working just yesterday. But since I got booted, it hasn't been able to reconnect.

Just a random Darkmyst server is what I inputted.

only thing i can think is either maybe the new irc didn't automatically pick up your isp (in which case you need to manually insert it)

or manually insert one of the darkmyst servers...instead of a random one. check the darkmyst.org website for help on that....

if i were there i could probably fix it. I've gotten really good at IRC over the last few years....sad huh?

I find sacrificing goats to the servers help ease their wrath. Plus, roasted goat is yummy if you can dress it right. (Raw is okay if Kesha prefers it that way)

Alright, there are two potential causes to this Problem, the first and by far the most likely is that MIRC is a vicious lifesucking bitch of a program from which the only escape is to hope and pray that something will go wrong with it and you will be given another chance to stay away from it.

its a Keyboard/Chair interface problem. In that case, I recommend you drunk four bloody marys and do 2 hello dollys.

Figured it out. Norton Protection center had a personal firewall on. Mirc was working just fine. Norton was killing the connection. Stupid norton.
